Our team was honoured to receive the prize for Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design at the recent 2019 Stormwater Queensland Awards for our Small Creek Naturalisation project – a joint effort with Ipswich City Council, Bligh Tanner and Landscapology.
Designed to encourage innovation in the industry, this annual awards program celebrates the achievements of Queensland’s (mostly unsung) stormwater professionals.
The Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design award recognises excellence in the integration of stormwater into the urban environment for projects completed in the past 12 months.
It is intended to promote the use of integrated design principles and to acknowledge design-led stormwater projects. These projects deliver quality outcomes for amenity, recreational, biodiversity and functional elements of stormwater systems.
The judges praised our project extremely highly, noting:
“Some of the aspects of this project were undertaken at the highest standard conceivable for a waterway rehabilitation project – in particular the stakeholder consultation.”
